Why Mommy Linger Longer?

When I was growing up I was a member of a church ward that had a social or “linger longer” once a month or so. Everyone brought some type of food to share. After church everyone would “linger longer”. Kids would play together and adults would get to know other members better. It was a student family ward so people moved in and out a lot. The socializing helped the ward stay close and welcome new members. The feelings I remember from the linger longers were warm, loving, and something I looked forward to. I want my home to feel like that. I want my kids, after everything that needs to be done at a home to want to linger longer and enjoy being with their family. So that’s where the name of my blog came from.
